Heather and Marty tied the knot at the Grunberg Haus Inn & Cabins, in Duxbury, Vermont. Longtime friends with the owners, they always knew this would be where they would wed, and more importantly, dance! In true Vermont fashion, this moody autumn day went from golden light to sheets of rain, and the love story suddenly veered to a battle of man versus nature that would have made even Hemingway proud.
Giovanina Bucci kicked off singing and dancing as rain puddles began to form. Friends and family plucked Vermont’s finest ales from a canoe converted cooler, and enjoyed tasty empanadas from Paprika Catering. The rain steadily increased and the power became rather touch-and-go, but that was no problem for this experienced crew. Almost immediately, magically, every guest had a glow rod in their hands and a bluetooth speaker boomed the party forward. Always the consummate professionals, Annie in the Water made a last minute pivot and moved their entire set inside for an intimate, fireside jam to close out an unforgettable night.
